Guillermo del Toro's passion for Frankenstein is as intense as the legendary Dr. Frankenstein's obsession with his creation. During the Next on Netflix preview event, the acclaimed writer-director shared a video message, teasing his much-anticipated adaptation of the classic tale. Although del Toro mentioned that a trailer won't be available until this summer, Netflix treated fans to a first-look image featuring Oscar Isaac as the iconic mad scientist.

As he spoke, he gestured towards the numerous Frankenstein figures and collectibles adorning his Frankenstein room in his renowned Bleak House.
Del Toro also offered a glimpse of some exclusive footage, showcasing Oscar Isaac's Victor Frankenstein in a confrontation with Mia Goth's character, portrayed as a seemingly affluent aristocrat. Additionally, Jacob Elordi's portrayal of Frankenstein's monster was revealed, complete with long black hair, stitched-up gray skin, and a striking glint of red in his eyes. Unfortunately, this footage is not currently available online.
"You see, over the decades, the character has fused with my soul in a way that it has become an autobiography," del Toro expressed, emphasizing the deeply personal nature of the project. "It doesn’t get more personal than this."
