Heroes Rebalanced, Damage Nerfed in Latest Deadlock Update

By CarterFeb 12,2025

Valve's commitment to Deadlock continues, even without a rigid update schedule. The latest patch isn't monumental, but it's significantly more than a minor adjustment. A comprehensive changelog is posted on the game's forum.

Following the January 18th introduction of four new heroes, swift balance tweaks arrived. Holliday's Crackshot ability now affects units, halving its cooldown when doing so. Calico's Ava ability gains the power to destroy objects during its activation.

Existing heroes also received adjustments: Kelvin's health is boosted from 600 to 650, while Vendicta's bullet speed is reduced (810 to 740) alongside a movement speed decrease (nine to eight). In total, eleven heroes, including the newcomers, were fine-tuned.

Deadlock remains in closed beta, maintaining a steady online player base between 7,000 and 20,000 players.
