Microids is bringing the beloved 1994 action-adventure game, Little Big Adventure, back to life this autumn with a remastered edition titled Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest. This updated version will launch across all major platforms, boasting modern enhancements while preserving the original's unique charm.
Developed by the emerging studio 2.21 and published by Microids, this remake builds upon the legacy of Adeline Software International, the original developer founded by Infogrames alumni. While Adeline is no longer active, its contribution to the Little Big Adventure series is undeniable.
Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest offers players a revitalized experience featuring stunning new visuals, refined gameplay, and a redesigned control scheme. The iconic weaponry returns, enhanced for modern play, alongside a captivating story and intricately designed levels. The original composer, Philippe Vachey, a collaborator with Frederick Raynal on the Alone in the Dark series, provides a new soundtrack.
The game's narrative unfolds on the planet Twinsun, home to four harmonious species. This peace is shattered by Dr. Funfrock's advancements in cloning and teleportation, leading to his tyrannical rule. Players assume the role of Twinsen, embarking on a quest to overcome challenging puzzles, defeat formidable enemies, and liberate Twinsun from Funfrock's grasp.
Following previous releases on GOG.com, PC, Mac, Android, and iOS, Little Big Adventure – Twinsen's Quest marks a significant return for the franchise. The project, spearheaded by 2.21 and co-creator Didier Chanfray (known for Time Commando), will arrive on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG) later this year. This eagerly anticipated remake promises to recapture the magic of the original while introducing it to a new generation of gamers.
