The publisher released a statement to retailers and readers expressing their commitment to community support and explaining their decision.
Associate editor Nicolas Niño shared his enthusiasm for the project, highlighting the diverse stories within the anthology, featuring everything from giant lowrider mechs to Godzilla's encounter with LA's theme parks and even a humorous take on the city's subway system. Niño emphasized the unifying theme of Angelenos banding together against an overwhelming force of nature, a fitting metaphor given the city's recent challenges.
