KEMCO Launches Card Deck-Building Roguelite Novel Rogue on Android

KEMCO's latest Android release, Novel Rogue, is a captivating pixel-art fantasy JRPG and roguelite experience. This card deck-building adventure plunges players into the enchanting worlds contained within four magical books.

You assume the role of Wright, an apprentice under the tutelage of Yuisil, the Witch of Portals, within the Ancient Library. Wright's journey involves delving into each book's unique narrative, each transporting him to a distinct realm. One book might find you aiding a princess knight in restoring a fallen kingdom, while another plunges you into the enigmatic mysteries of the underworld. The dynamic nature of the game ensures that each playthrough offers a unique and unpredictable experience.

Gameplay Mechanics:

Novel Rogue's core gameplay revolves around a turn-based card battle system, with variations depending on the chosen book. Each of the four worlds presents its own distinct deck-building mechanics. After each battle, you'll select three new cards to enhance your deck, strategically crafting the ultimate battle strategy.

Innovative features enhance the gameplay: the "Change" command allows for strategic damage redistribution among allies, while "Novel Power" empowers deck strengthening using ink. For those seeking a challenge, "Deep Record" mode significantly increases dungeon difficulty for high-stakes combat.

Character relationships are fostered by collecting and gifting treasures, leading to the potential unlocking of special endings. Aesthetic customization is available through "Witch Stones," enabling players to alter character costumes.

Novel Rogue is available now on the Google Play Store as a free-to-play title. A premium version offers 150 bonus Witch Stones and additional benefits such as ad removal.
