Developer Warhorse Studios celebrated this achievement on Twitter, calling it a "triumph," following their earlier celebration when the game hit the 1 million sales mark just a day after launch.
This sequel to the acclaimed medieval Europe action role-playing game was released on February 4 and is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X and S. Warhorse Studios' parent company, Embracer, highlighted the game's strong performance on Steam, where it achieved a peak of over 250,000 concurrent players. This is a significant leap from the first *Kingdom Come: Deliverance*, which reached a peak of 96,069 players seven years ago.
It's important to consider that *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*'s total peak concurrent player count is likely even higher, given its availability on consoles as well. Although Sony and Microsoft do not disclose player numbers, the game's widespread appeal across platforms is undeniable.
Embracer, which owns Warhorse Studios through its subsidiary Plaion, described *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* as initially successful in terms of player and critic reception, as well as its performance.
