KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global Version Shuts Down, Is It Getting an Offline Version?

Another gacha game bites the dust! KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global, developed by Sumzap and published initially by Nexon before transitioning to Sesisoft, has officially ended its run on January 30th. The servers are now offline.

A Relatively Short, But Respectable Run

The global version lasted a respectable 3.5 years, while its Japanese counterpart enjoyed a five-year run. Considering the typical lifespan of anime-based gacha games and a period of declining revenue, this is a fairly decent showing.

The developers, having shifted their focus to the Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade gacha game, still provided dedicated support until the very end. This included new voiced story content and a final song release just three weeks prior to shutdown.

A farewell livestream in December featured Kazuma's voice actor, adding a poignant touch to the closure. The Japanese version even went the extra mile by archiving the entire main story on their YouTube channel, allowing players to revisit the adventures of Kazuma and his crew.

Sadly, the global version lacks an offline mode or dedicated YouTube archive. However, fans can still access the Japanese YouTube channel to relive the KonoSuba experience.

This concludes our coverage of the KonoSuba: Fantastic Days Global shutdown. Stay tuned for our next update on the February Pokémon Go Community Day featuring Karrablast and Shelmet.
