The much-anticipated official trailer for the live-action remake of *Lilo & Stitch* has finally dropped, offering fans an exciting glimpse into the world of this beloved Disney classic. The trailer showcases Maia Kealoha as Lilo, giving audiences their best look yet at how she will bring the iconic character, originally voiced by Daveigh Chase in the 2002 animated film, to life. Alongside her, Courtney B. Vance takes on the role of the serious yet lovable Cobra Bubbles, and Billy Magnussen steps into the shoes of Pleakley.
While previous teasers have focused on Stitch, this trailer shifts the spotlight to Kealoha's portrayal of Lilo, promising a fresh yet faithful interpretation of the character. The trailer also introduces us to Zach Galifianakis as Jumba, who, along with Pleakley, appears to be disguised as humans on Earth for part of the film, adding an intriguing twist to their characters. Fans are treated to a quick glimpse of Pleakley in his alien form, maintaining the charm of the original story.
Viewers can enjoy live-action renditions of several iconic scenes from the original, including Stitch's dramatic arrival as a falling star, his transformation into a dog-like creature at the shelter, and the heartwarming moment when Lilo utters the famous line, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten."
*Lilo & Stitch* is set to hit theaters on May 23, 2025, joining the ranks of other live-action adaptations of Disney classics. It follows closely on the heels of the live-action *Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs*, scheduled for release on March 21, 2025.
