CI Games has outlined what fans can expect for Lords of the Fallen 2 at Gamescom's Opening Night Live. The sequel has been molded by player feedback, following a challenging initial reception for the first game.
This fully standalone follow-up to 2023's Lords of the Fallen is built with Unreal Engine 5. It features two parallel worlds to explore, with an expanded Umbral realm, and supports shared campaign progression in online co-op.
"Having sold over 2 million copies and welcomed over 5.5 million Lampbearers into Lords of the Fallen, it's evident our resurgence was driven by the community," stated CI Games CEO Marek Tyminski. "With Lords of the Fallen 2, we're pushing even further. In 2024, we proudly affirmed our deep commitment to being a player-first studio. The V2.0 update was our pledge in motion: to listen, respond, and deliver. This sequel is constructed on that very same principle."
Additional details confirmed today include optional PvP and custom game modifiers.
