Marvel Rivals Announces Balancing Changes in Season 1

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls – Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Balance Changes

NetEase Games has unveiled a comprehensive developer update for Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST. This season introduces a host of exciting changes, including a new villain, roster additions, map expansions, a fresh game mode, and significant balance adjustments.

Key Features of Season 1:

  • Dracula, the Season 1 Villain: The infamous vampire lord takes center stage as the primary antagonist.
  • Fantastic Four Arrival: The iconic team joins the roster, with Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman debuting at launch, followed by Human Torch and The Thing several weeks later.
  • New Maps and Game Mode: Three new maps and a new game mode, "Doom Match," will enhance gameplay variety.
  • Battle Pass: A $10 battle pass offering 10 skins and rewarding players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion.

Balance Adjustments:

The update details substantial balance changes, addressing concerns about overpowered heroes and underperforming Vanguards:

  • Nerfs: Hela and Hawkeye, previously dominant forces, will receive nerfs to bring them in line with other characters.
  • Buffs: Mobility-focused Vanguards, such as Captain America and Venom, will receive buffs to improve their effectiveness. Wolverine, Storm, and Cloak & Dagger will also see performance boosts, encouraging diverse team strategies.
  • Jeff the Land Shark Adjustments: Changes will be made to Jeff's early warning signals to better reflect his ultimate ability's hitbox. While his ultimate's power level is being monitored, no major changes have been announced at this time.

Seasonal Bonuses:

NetEase Games has not yet commented on adjustments to the Seasonal Bonus feature, a point of contention among players.

Season 1 promises a substantial update to Marvel Rivals, introducing fresh content and addressing community feedback regarding balance. The anticipation for launch is high among players eager to experience these significant changes.
