Rey Dau is the first dragon monster you can encounter in Monster Hunter Wilds. This creature wields the lightning element, rendering it immune to it. However, it's particularly vulnerable to other elements, especially water and ice. The most effective target is its head, boasting a 4-star weakness. If hitting the head proves challenging, aim for the wings, which have a 3-star weakness.

Avoid targeting the torso, as it's quite resilient. Instead, consider striking the tail if the head is out of reach. The legs are less ideal due to their strong protection. For status ailments, utilize all options except Stun and Paralysis, given the dragon's lightning element.

Use a Flash Pod

A key strategy to swiftly defeat Rey Dau is deploying a Flash Pod. This tool will temporarily stun the monster, providing a window to land precise, damaging hits. When Rey Dau unleashes its lightning attack, target its glowing red horns for maximum impact. Enter Focus Mode to better see these vulnerable spots.
