Microsoft has unveiled an impressive lineup of Xbox Game Pass titles set to join the service in the first half of April 2025, featuring a mix of first- and third-party games. The list includes eagerly anticipated titles such as South of Midnight, Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition, among others.
According to a recent Xbox Wire post, the excitement begins tomorrow, April 3, with the arrival of Gearbox Software’s Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition (available on Cloud, Console, and PC) for all tiers. Joining it on the same day are All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X | S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), all part of Game Pass Standard. This initial wave promises a plethora of gaming options to keep Xbox enthusiasts engaged throughout the month. But the fun doesn’t stop there; on April 8, South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) and Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) will be available to all Game Pass subscribers.
South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games, is set in the Deep South and explores local folklore. It's poised to be one of Xbox's major releases this year. Microsoft's description hints at a rich experience: “Explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown.”
Following closely, Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) arrives on April 9 for Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X | S) will be added on April 10 for the same tiers. Rounding out the first wave of releases, Hunt: Showdown 1896 (PC) will join Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on April 15.
Alongside these new titles, Xbox Game Pass perks are also receiving an update for the first half of April 2025. Notable perks include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile devices, and a special anniversary Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves fans.
