Monster Hunter Now's Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, launching March 6th, 2025, promises a thrilling update packed with new content. Before the season officially begins, players can encounter the Chatacabra starting February 28th, marking its debut ahead of its appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Season 5 will also introduce Glavenus and Arzuros to the hunt.
This season focuses on improving gameplay balance. Weapons are receiving adjustments to enhance viability and enjoyment. The Sword & Shield receives a buff for easier targeting of weak points like tails, while the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will reward precise timing with more powerful and satisfying combos. The Guard skill is also getting a significant upgrade; higher skill levels will now noticeably reduce damage taken while blocking. Further balance adjustments will be detailed in the full patch notes on March 6th.
Beyond combat enhancements, Season 5 addresses inventory management woes. An Item Box Expansion, available as a Supply Item, will provide an additional 250 inventory slots.
Celebrating Monster Hunter Now's 1.5-year anniversary on March 17th, a new material exchange feature will arrive. Hunters can trade special materials earned from hunts and events for valuable rewards, including Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
