Get ready for another chance to hunt! Monster Hunter Wilds is launching a second Open Beta, giving players a fresh opportunity to experience the game before its official release. This beta includes new content not featured in the first test.
New Monster and Extended Gameplay
Missed the first beta? Don't worry! The second Open Beta Test runs in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time, you can hunt the Gypceros, a familiar foe from previous Monster Hunter games.
Carryover and Rewards
Character data from the first beta can be transferred to the second, and then eventually to the full game (though progress won't be saved). Participating in the beta nets you in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack for a smoother start in the full game.
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, stating that many players missed the first or wanted another chance to play. While the team is actively working on pre-launch improvements, these changes won't be included in this beta.
Monster Hunter Wilds officially launches on February 28th, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Sharpen your weapons and prepare for the hunt!
