New Paldean Pokemon Added in Upcoming Pokemon GO Event

Summary

  • Shroodle and Grafaiai make their debut in Pokemon GO during the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, starting January 15.
  • The event includes special research to save Shadow Palkia and encounters with new Shadow Pokemon.

Niantic has announced that Shroodle and its evolution Grafaiai will be introduced to Pokemon GO during the upcoming Fashion Week: Taken Over event. This exciting event kicks off on January 15 and promises a range of new content for players, including bonuses and raid opportunities.

Shroodle, a Poison/Normal-type Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, features a large head and eyes that dominate its small body. At level 28, Shroodle evolves into Grafaiai, a primate-like Pokemon resembling a lemur with distinctive large eyes and uniquely sized fingers. Both creatures have appeared in the Gen 9 games and made cameo appearances in Pokemon Horizons episodes.

During the Fashion Week: Taken Over event, which runs from January 15 at 12 am to January 19 at 8 pm local time, Shroodle will be available from 12 km eggs. Players can evolve Shroodle into Grafaiai using 50 Shroodle Candy. The event will also see increased appearances of Team GO Rocket at PokeStops and in balloons, offering players the chance to help Shadow Pokemon forget the Charged Attack Frustration using a Charged TM. Additionally, taking a snapshot during the event may lead to an encounter with a fashion week-outfitted Croagunk.
