Indie developer Theo Clarke's new game, Plantoons, turns your garden into a thrilling tower defense battlefield. Similar in spirit to Plants vs. Zombies, Plantoons offers quirky gameplay and strategic depth.
The Plantoons Gameplay:
In Plantoons, your garden becomes a gladiator arena where plants fight waves of invading weeds. Unlike static plant placement, you'll level up and upgrade your plant warriors to withstand increasingly aggressive weed attacks.
The game starts with selecting a plant from your arsenal and deploying it strategically. Your goal is simple: repel the weed onslaught. Thankfully, these weeds seem less menacing than their zombie counterparts!
Progress unlocks reward cards, allowing you to enhance your plant army. Boost attack power, strengthen defenses, or increase pollen production – the choice is yours! Strategic plant placement is key to building an effective defensive line.
Each plant boasts unique abilities and stats. Completing challenges expands your deck in the Card Bank, enabling further customization and strategic enhancements.
