The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, drawing over 90,000 competitors eager to showcase their skills in the year's first international PUBG Mobile Esports event. The Open Qualifiers, which started on February 13th, offer a golden opportunity for emerging talent to rise through the ranks and secure a coveted spot in the PMGO Main Event.
With an impressive $500,000 prize pool at stake, teams will battle through multiple rounds to earn their place among the elite. This tournament, exclusive to amateurs, shines a spotlight on fresh talent, giving them a chance to make their mark on the global stage.
Teams boasting at least one Ultimate 500-ranked player from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already advanced to Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, up-and-coming squads will fiercely compete for a berth in the PMGO Prelims, where they will confront the top performers from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
From the Prelims, twelve teams will advance to the PMGO Main Event, where they will challenge the cream of the crop in PUBG Mobile's professional scene. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already earned their spots based on their stellar performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. Four additional teams will join them, selected from regional competitions such as the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers will continue until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, culminating in the Main Event on April 12th-13th. The PMGO marks the beginning of an action-packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC slated to return later in 2025.
