In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, worn-out shoes will leave you wandering barefoot until you replace or repair them. Knowing how to acquire and mend footwear is crucial. Fortunately, there are several ways to obtain new shoes.
While you begin with a pair, you won't need to rely on them throughout the game. New shoes can be found in chests or looted from enemies like poachers. Alternatively, you can purchase them legally.
Tailors, such as the one in Troskowitz, sell shoes, but their stats might be underwhelming. For superior footwear, seek out a cobbler. You can find one early on in Trosky; their map icon resembles three red pieces arranged in a circle (see map below).
Cobblers offer a variety of goods beyond shoes, including horse equipment and even Blacksmith’s and Cobbler’s Kits.
How to Repair Shoes
Shoe repair options are plentiful. Cobblers and blacksmiths offer repair services; simply select the repair option during dialogue. The cost varies depending on your Craftsmanship skill perks, which offer percentage discounts on NPC repairs.
Alternatively, you can repair shoes yourself, but success depends on your Craftsmanship level. If your skill is insufficient, self-repair might be impossible. A Cobbler’s Kit is required for self-repair.
Cobbler’s Kits are sold by various vendors, including cobblers and blacksmiths, and can also be found in chests or looted from NPCs. To use it, access your inventory, select the kit, and use the interact button (“E” on PC). This opens a menu of repairable items. Faded items indicate insufficient skill. Select items and use the interact button again to repair.
This guide covers acquiring and repairing shoes in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The Blacksmith’s Kit functions similarly for other gear repairs. While vendor repairs are always an option, maintaining well-equipped gear is undeniably advantageous.
