The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, Shining Revelry, has arrived with a dazzling array of over 110 new cards, including shiny variants that are turning heads and tempting wallets. The expansion introduces exciting new additions from the Paldea region, making it a must-have for collectors and competitive players alike. As a player, I couldn't resist the allure of the shiny cards and used my Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs. My efforts were rewarded with a Charizard EX, although the rest of my haul was less thrilling. However, pulling a Pokémon Center Lady card provided some comfort; her ability to heal Special Conditions is a valuable asset against debilitating effects like Burn.
Following the pattern of previous updates, Shining Revelry introduces a new Emblem event where players can earn badges to flaunt among friends. The highlight of this update, though, is the introduction of Ranked Matches. Players will compete against each other, climbing from Beginner to Master Ball Rank. Your performance will be tracked through points, and at the end of the season—roughly a month—an emblem will be awarded, adding a competitive edge to the game. This development has motivated me to dust off my dueling skills and start seriously building my decks.
