"Shiny Keldeo & Meltan Now Available in Pokemon Home"

By MichaelApr 02,2025

Exciting news for *Pokemon Home* players: with the update to version 3.2.2, you can now unlock Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan. These coveted Pokémon were previously unobtainable in their Shiny forms, making this update a significant milestone for collectors. By meeting certain in-game requirements, you can transfer these Shiny legends to other *Pokemon* games linked to your *Home* account.

To add Shiny Keldeo to your collection, you must first conquer the Galar Pokedex. This involves registering all Pokémon from *Sword & Shield*, as well as those from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs, in their respective Pokedexes. Remember, only Pokémon with the Galar origin mark—indicated by a slanted PokeBall logo above their stat screen—will count towards completing these Pokedexes. Once your Pokedex is complete, head to the main menu, tap the three-line menu icon, and select “Mystery Gift” to claim your Shiny Keldeo. There's no rush; you can take your time to complete the Pokedex without worrying about missing out on this opportunity.

How To Get Shiny Meltan in Pokemon Home

Unlocking Shiny Meltan follows a similar path: you need to complete the Kanto Pokedex using Pokémon from *Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee*. These Pokémon must have the Let’s Go marker, depicted as a Pikachu silhouette above their stat screen. After successfully filling your Kanto Pokedex in *Pokemon Home*, navigate to the main menu and select “Mystery Gift” to obtain your Shiny Meltan. Like Keldeo, there's no deadline, so you can work at your own pace.

Why Is Pokemon Home Not Registering My Pokedex?

If you're encountering issues with Pokémon not registering in your Pokedex, it might be due to a data glitch. Fortunately, you can fix this by clearing the cache on your mobile device. Here's how to do it, as recommended by Pokémon's support website:

  • Open the *Pokemon Home* app and tap the “Menu” icon (three-line symbol within a circle) in the top-right corner of the title screen.
  • Select “Clear Cache.”
  • Confirm by tapping “OK.”
  • Once you see the “Cache successfully cleared!” message, your Pokedex should start registering Pokémon correctly.

With these steps, you're now equipped to add Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan to your *Pokemon Home* collection. For more *Pokemon* adventures, check out the best counters for Mega Tyranitar in *Pokemon GO*, and don't forget to redeem the latest *Pokemon GO* promo codes for additional rewards.
