EA's long-running mobile game, The Simpsons: Tapped Out, is officially being retired. After a twelve-year run, the game, initially released in 2012 on the Apple App Store and 2013 on Google Play, will be shutting down its servers.
Shutdown Timeline:
- In-app purchases are already disabled.
- October 31st, 2024: The game will be removed from app stores.
- January 24th, 2025: The servers will be permanently shut down.
EA expressed gratitude to its players for their decade-long support, highlighting the successful collaboration with The Simpsons and The Walt Disney Company.
