Bit Reactor has collaborated closely with Respawn Entertainment, the developers behind the Star Wars Jedi series, to bring this project to life. Fans can look forward to the first glimpse of the game on April 19 during a live panel featuring the lead development team from Bit Reactor, Respawn Entertainment, and Lucasfilm Games, as confirmed by the official Star Wars Celebration 2025 schedule.

While details about the game remain scarce, including the specific Star Wars era it will be set in and the exact gameplay mechanics, the involvement of former XCOM developers suggests a tactical experience infused with the rich lore of the Star Wars universe. Respawn Entertainment, in addition to their collaboration on this project, is also working on the third installment of their Star Wars Jedi trilogy. It's worth noting that Respawn had been developing another Star Wars game, an untitled first-person shooter rumored to feature a Mandalorian protagonist, but it was canceled amid a significant restructuring at EA that resulted in approximately 670 job losses. Earlier in March, Respawn also canceled a multiplayer first-person shooter project, affecting an undisclosed number of staff members.
