IGN gave Stellar Blade a 7/10, but personally, I found it to be even more enjoyable and would have rated it higher. Although it didn't make it into our best PS5 games of 2024 list due to its recent release (games must be out for at least 6 months to qualify), it's still a must-play.
Stellar Blade is a technically demanding title, and I recommend running it in "Performance" mode to maintain a smooth 60fps experience. If you're a PlayStation 5 Pro owner, you're in for a treat, as you can enjoy the game in "Enhanced" 4K mode with frame rates above 50fps. According to the official PlayStation blog, “With PS5 Pro, players can experience Stellar Blade in 4K at 50fps or higher, with enhanced gameplay smoothness and improved detail via PSSR upscale mode. Additionally, the HFR (high framerate) option supports up to 80fps with a 120hz display.”
