Rocksteady Studios, the developer behind Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has just dropped Season 4 Episode 8, marking the end of new content for this live-service game. Despite launching to mixed reviews in February 2024, Rocksteady decided less than a year later to halt further development, with the final patch rolling out on January 14. Players can now download this last update on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The concept of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was meant to be a hit with superhero fans, but its unexpected shift to a live-service model is often cited as a reason for its quick fall from grace. Just 10 months after hitting the market, Rocksteady announced on December 9, 2024, that Season 4 Episode 8 would be the game's swan song. They reassured fans that the online features would still be accessible, allowing players to continue enjoying the game with friends.
After a brief period of server maintenance, the final content update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is now live. Players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC can dive into Season 4 Episode 8: Balance. This patch introduces an Infamy Set inspired by the DC Super-Villain Libra, a range of powerful Notorious weapons, and a concluding Mayhem mission against Brainiac. Additionally, it includes crucial bug fixes and gameplay tweaks, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels.
Even though no new content will be added post-Season 4 Episode 8, the game's servers will stay up. Thanks to the offline mode introduced in Season 4 Episode 7 back in December, players can enjoy the main campaign and all seasonal story missions without an internet connection. While Rocksteady hasn't scheduled a server shutdown, the offline mode ensures fans can continue playing even if servers are taken down in the future.
For those yet to experience Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the game is now part of PlayStation Plus. Subscribers can grab this controversial title, along with The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, until February 3.

MEDIEVAL GENIUS

The Arena is perfect for jousting tournaments or interdimensional battles, while the statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van will inspire awe in this era of chivalry and honor.
LIBRA INFAMY SET
Inspired by Libra, the DC Super-Villain obsessed with balance, the Episode 8 Infamy Set applies stacks of Scales of Libra to enemies. Each stack increases both damage dealt and received by 50%, encouraging a bold, dynamic playstyle that's high risk and high reward.
NOTORIOUS WEAPONS
- The Silencer's Complete Silence: These assassin-inspired weapons deal 200% bonus damage to enemies with Scales of Libra. The Alt-Fire delivers 1,000% bonus damage and creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage by 100%—ideal for crowd control.
- Doctor Sivana's Magic Bullets: These bullets pierce through enemies, apply Scales of Libra, and have a chance to electrify foes. Positioning is key to devastating entire armies.
- Chronos' Equilibrium: This weapon amplifies the glass cannon playstyle, boosting damage by 25% for every 1% of your Shield missing, pushing you into the heart of battle.
