For an effortless auto-petting experience, I recommend the Animal Friends mod by annanomoly, available on Nexus Mods. This mod not only automates petting but also takes care of feeding your livestock. To get started, you'll need the Mods of Mistria Installer, which is essential for activating the mod.
To install the mod, follow these steps:
- Create a new folder named 'Mods' in your *Fields of Mistria* directory.
- Download the AnimalFriends.zip file and place it in the 'Mods' folder.
- Extract the zip file and then delete or move the original zip file elsewhere.
- Launch the Mods of Mistria Installer to complete the installation process.
The Animal Friends mod comes packed with several features. Besides the auto-petter, you can enable the auto-feeder, a friendship multiplier, and a feature to prevent friendship loss. The friendship multiplier boosts the number of hearts your animals have, while the prevent friendship loss ensures that your hard-earned hearts remain intact.
To customize these settings, locate the AnimalFriends.json file within the mod's unzipped folder. This file allows you to toggle features on or off by changing "false" to "true". For example, to activate the auto-petter, modify the setting to ["auto-feed": true]. To disable any feature, simply revert "true" back to "false".
The friendship multiplier is adjusted differently; you'll need to input a number between 1 and 100. Setting it to the highest value can expedite bonding with your animals, while setting it back to 1 will disable the feature.
Upon installation, the mod defaults to multiplying heart points gained from petting by five and automatically activates the prevent friendship loss feature, but you'll need to manually enable the auto-pet and auto-feed functions.
If you decide to remove the mod, don't simply delete the folder. Use the Mods of Mistria Installer to uninstall it properly, avoiding any potential issues with your save file.
