World of Warcraft's Detective Title Remains Accessible: A Guide to Finding Alyx and the Missing Celebration Crates

World of Warcraft players can still earn the coveted Detective title and unlock the quest for the Incognitro Felcycle mount, even after the 20th-anniversary event concluded. This is thanks to the relocation of Alyx, the key NPC, to Dornogal.

Alyx, a Lightforged Draenei, now resides in Dornogal, near the hot springs northwest of the Delver's Headquarters, just before the Foundation Hall. They've taken on a new role ("Volunteer Event Coordinator, Among Other Things") but retain their crucial board of clues detailing the locations of 11 missing Celebration Crates.

Obtaining the Detective Title:

1. Locate Alyx: Find Alyx in Dornogal using the provided location description.
2. Gather the Crates: Follow the clues on Alyx's board to discover the 11 hidden Celebration Crates scattered throughout the world. (Note: Players need to be at least level 10 to begin Celebration Crate quests, but level 68 is required to access Dornogal.)
3. Claim Your Rewards: Return the crates to Alyx. Six crates unlock the "Crate Insurance Agent" achievement, while all 11 grant "No Crate Left Behind," "Azeroth's Greatest Detective," and, most importantly, the Detective title. The Detective title is the key to initiating the Incognitro mount questline.

Important Note: While the Detective title and associated mount quest remain accessible, the rest of the Guest Relations questline from the anniversary event is no longer available. This means achievements like "Assistant to the Assistant Guest Relations Manager" and "I Saved the Party and All I Got Were These Lousy Hats" are now unobtainable.

The relocation of Alyx ensures that players won't be permanently locked out of acquiring the Incognitro mount, a significant achievement for dedicated World of Warcraft players. While some anniversary rewards are lost, the persistence of the Detective title questline provides a lasting legacy from the celebration.
