The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues to unfold. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2 is anticipated in late 2025, introducing fresh endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces several story quests crucial to setting the stage for Patch 11.1, focusing on the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic destruction of Dalaran, though it wasn't immediately available upon the patch's release.

Dalaran, a long-standing fixture in Warcraft lore, may never fully recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure to this storyline and a fitting farewell to a pivotal social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue
Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign is immediately accessible. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaigns isn't required. However, for optimal understanding and to avoid spoilers, completing prior storylines is recommended. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign comprises these quests:

- Standing in the Way
- No Breathing Room
- Together, Alone
- The Voice
- Ringing in the Deeps
- Good Help These Days
- Hey, What's Going On?
- Haywired and Hostile

Following "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. While not part of the main campaign, her quest offers insights into future plot developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.
Unlocking the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within
Initially, a three-week delay was implemented for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this restriction has been lifted. To access this campaign, you must have completed both the leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign for The War Within (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz'algar factions).
If unsure about your progress, visit Foundation Hall (where Patch 11.1 prologue quests begin). The presence of Khadgar (after January 7th) indicates eligibility for his quest. His absence signifies unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list follows:

Completing this campaign unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
