Legendary Creative Team Reunites for DC Heist Story

Writer Greg Rucka and artist Nicola Scott, who previously collaborated on the acclaimed Wonder Woman: Year One, are partnering again for an entirely different DC project. Their new six-issue limited series, Cheetah and Cheshire Rob the Justice League, promises a fresh take on the iconic DC villains.

Villainous Dream Team Assembles

The creative team reunites with colorist Annette Kwok and letterer Troy Peteri to bring this unique heist story to life. While the pairing of Cheetah and Cheshire may seem unexpected, it carries special significance - Cheetah was central to Rucka's Wonder Woman stories, while Cheshire featured prominently in Scott's Secret Six work with Gail Simone.

The Ultimate DC Heist

DC describes the series as following the titular villains as they:

  • Plan the most ambitious theft in DC history
  • Assemble a crew capable of outsmarting the Justice League
  • Navigate treacherous alliances among criminals
  • Target one of the universe's most dangerous artifacts

"This is an all-or-nothing play for Cheetah," Rucka explained. "She needs to pull off this impossible job, and nothing - not even her untrustworthy partners - will stop her."

Technical Details

The series launches August 6, 2025 as part of DC's All In publishing initiative. This marks Rucka and Scott's first major collaboration since their definitive Wonder Woman origin story.
