"Crunchyroll Adds Shogun Showdown: A Roguelike Deckbuilder to Its Vault"

Shogun Showdown, a captivating roguelike combat deckbuilder, recently joined the Crunchyroll Game Vault. Launched in September 2024 for both PC and consoles, the game quickly gained popularity thanks to its innovative approach to turn-based combat, developed by Roboatino and published by Goblinz Studio and Gamera Games.

What Sets Shogun Showdown Apart?

In Shogun Showdown, every move counts as you navigate a single-lane battlefield fraught with danger. Playing as a samurai, your mission is to defeat a corrupt shogun whose actions have plunged the world into chaos and unleashed sinister forces upon the land.

Combat unfolds on a linear track ranging from 4 to 12 spaces, requiring strategic planning as you manage queued actions, execute attacks, and avoid being boxed in by ashigaru warriors. With only three actions available at any given moment, precision is key. Each run generates procedurally randomized challenges, ensuring no two experiences are alike.

The game boasts pixel art reminiscent of feudal Japan, offering a visually striking aesthetic. For a closer look, check out the official trailer below.
