Get the Destiny 2 Mistral Lift: A Dawning Event Guide
The Dawning event in Destiny 2 has returned, offering players a chance to bake treats for NPCs and acquire new weapons, including the powerful Mistral Lift Linear Fusion Rifle. This guide details how to obtain the Mistral Lift and its ideal god roll.
Acquiring the Mistral Lift
The Mistral Lift is a limited-time weapon exclusive to The Dawning event. To obtain it, you'll need to trade with Eva Levante. The exchange requires one "Gift in Return" and 25 Dawning Spirits. While Eva also sells Festive Engrams (one Gift in Return and 10 Dawning Spirits), these offer a chance at the Mistral Lift, but don't guarantee it.
Gifts in Return are earned by baking Dawning treats (like the Neomun-Cake) and gifting them to NPCs. Dawning Spirits are the event's currency, obtained by completing daily Dawning quests and bounties from Eva. Repeat the process as needed to acquire the desired rolls.
The Mistral Lift God Roll for PvE
While Linear Fusion Rifles aren't always meta in Destiny 2, the Mistral Lift shines in PvE, particularly for solo players. The recommended god roll emphasizes damage and debuffing:
Stat | Roll |
---|---|
Barrel | Fluted Barrel |
Battery | Enhanced Battery |
Perk 1 | Withering Gaze |
Perk 2 | Bait and Switch |
Masterwork | Handling |
The key perks are Withering Gaze (enemy debuff) and Bait and Switch (30% damage boost after aiming down sights). While Envious Assassin can replace Withering Gaze for group play, both are excellent choices. Fluted Barrel, Enhanced Battery, and a Handling masterwork enhance stability and ammo.
PvP Performance
The Mistral Lift's Linear Fusion Rifle archetype makes it less effective in PvP. However, its PvE capabilities make it a worthwhile acquisition for players focusing on PvE content.
