In a recent interview, Mizobe discussed the challenges of bringing Palworld to the Switch. While not dismissing the possibility entirely, he emphasized the significant technical difficulties. Discussions regarding new platforms are ongoing, but Pocketpair currently has no announcements to make.

The game's demanding PC specifications present a major obstacle for a Switch port. Mizobe previously stated that the PC version's higher specs make a direct port technically challenging.

Future platform plans remain unspecified, leaving the possibility of PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, or mobile releases open. Earlier this year, Mizobe confirmed talks were underway to expand the game's availability to more platforms. He also mentioned openness to partnerships or acquisitions but denied any buyout discussions with Microsoft.

Beyond platform considerations, Mizobe expressed aspirations for expanding Palworld's multiplayer aspects. An upcoming arena mode, described as an experiment, is a step toward richer multiplayer experiences. Mizobe stated his desire for a full-fledged PvP mode, drawing inspiration from the survival games Ark and Rust, known for their challenging environments, intricate resource management, and extensive player interaction.

Palworld, Pocketpair's creature-collecting and survival shooter, has achieved remarkable success since its launch. The game's first month saw 15 million PC sales and attracted 10 million players on Xbox Game Pass. A major update, including the free Sakurajima update with a new island and the highly anticipated PvP arena, is slated for release on Thursday.
