New Content for No Return Mode:

Sony is enhancing the No Return Mode with two new characters from The Last of Us Part I: Bill and Marlene. Bill adopts a "Smuggler" playstyle, allowing access to a custom pump shotgun from dead drops and receiving double rewards from drops. He is stronger against melee attacks but cannot dodge. Marlene, on the other hand, employs a "Risk Taker" playstyle, featuring a Custom Assault Rifle, "All or Nothing" gambits, and the ability to reroute her No Return path once per run.

Additionally, four new maps are being added to No Return Mode: Overlook, set high above Seattle with verticality; School, an abandoned elementary school where Ellie and Dina face off against the W.L.F.; Streets, set in the overgrown Hillcrest neighborhood of Seattle; and Nest, familiar to players from Abby's campaign through an Infected-infested building.

All new No Return content, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 day-and-date with the PC launch through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch.

PSN Sign-In Incentives:

While PSN sign-in remains optional for the PC version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered, those who do log in can enjoy PlayStation overlay and PSN Trophies. As an additional incentive, Sony is offering 50 in-game points to activate bonus features and a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming PS5 game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. PS5 players can also unlock this skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.

Neil Druckmann, the director of The Last of Us, recently discussed the development of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in an interview with Alex Garland, the writer of the zombie movie 28 Days Later. Druckmann revealed that the game has been in development for four years and is set in an alternate historical timeline with a significant focus on faith and religion.

The PC version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered arrives just in time for Season 2 of HBO's hit TV adaptation, where showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have confirmed the return of spores, which were omitted in Season 1.
