Supergaming\'s Indus surpasses 11 million pre-registrations and introduces new 4v4 deathmatch mode

By VictoriaMar 04,2025

Indus, India's homegrown battle royale game, introduces a thrilling new 4v4 deathmatch mode. This addition follows another significant milestone: the game has surpassed 11 million pre-registrations. Despite this success, a full release date remains unconfirmed, with the game currently in closed beta.

Supergaming's Indus, designed specifically for the Indian market, features a 4v4 deathmatch mode alongside improvements to audio effects and music within the closed beta. The game incorporates standard battle royale elements, enhanced by innovative features like a Grudge system that rewards players for engaging rivals.

Initially announced in 2022, Indus has undergone several beta phases, steadily adding features and attracting a growing player base. The 11 million pre-registrations mark a significant achievement, reflecting the immense and expanding Indian mobile gaming market. However, the growth rate has slowed since March when the game reached 10 million pre-registrations.

While surpassing 11 million pre-registrations is impressive, it also indicates a slight deceleration in growth compared to the game's earlier trajectory. The previous milestone of 10 million pre-registrations was reached in March.

Anticipation for Indus' public launch is high. While the addition of new features is always welcome, the speculated late 2023 release date has passed. Hopes are now set on a 2024 release, either as a full launch or a public beta.
