The excitement around Split Fiction continues to grow as players uncover more hidden gems within the game. Recently, two dedicated streamers, sharkOvO and E1uM4y from China, not only discovered but also conquered the notoriously challenging "Laser Hell" secret stage, earning them an exclusive trip to Hazelight Studios. Their achievement was shared on BiliBili, showcasing their journey through the intricate puzzle of the Isolation level's elevator, which, when correctly navigated, leads to the laser-filled platform stage.
Their success was acknowledged by none other than Hazelight's founder, Josef Fares, who personally congratulated the duo in a video message. Fares revealed that even the game's developers found the stage daunting, making the streamers' accomplishment all the more impressive. Following the video's release, Fares took to Twitter (X) to reaffirm his invitation, promising sharkOvO and E1uM4y an early sneak peek at Hazelight's next project during their visit to Sweden.

In a recent interview on the Friends Per Second podcast, Fares discussed Hazelight's ongoing relationship with publisher EA and hinted at the studio's next venture. He expressed a sense of closure with Split Fiction, noting its exceptional reception compared to previous titles. However, his focus has already shifted to the next project, which the team began working on just a month ago. While details remain under wraps due to the early stage of development, Fares assured fans that excitement is high at Hazelight.
Regarding their partnership with EA, Fares emphasized the publisher's supportive role, stating that Hazelight operates with full creative freedom. He highlighted EA's respect for their process, contrasting it with the experiences of other developers, and credited this autonomy for Hazelight's success as one of EA's top studios.
Hazelight Studios Working On Its Next Game
On the heels of its successful launch, Split Fiction received its first update on March 17, addressing community feedback with fixes to in-game mechanics, online play glitches, and localization issues. The game's rapid success is further evidenced by its sales figures, surpassing 2 million copies sold within just one week. This milestone outpaces the initial sales of Hazelight's previous hit, It Takes Two, which, despite a slower start, eventually reached 20 million copies sold by October 2024.
Split Fiction is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For the latest updates and more information on the game, be sure to check out our detailed article below!
