Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium's Pity System Explained: Does Pity Carry Over Between Banners?
Developed by Sunborn, Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium is a free-to-play tactical RPG with gacha mechanics available on PC and mobile. A common question among players concerns the pity system and whether progress carries over between banners. The short answer is: yes, for limited banners.
Limited Banner Pity Carryover:
Your pity counter and pulls from one limited banner will transfer to the next. During the global launch, simultaneous Suomi and Ullrid banners demonstrated this. Pity progress increased regardless of which banner you pulled on. This means you could maximize your chances by strategically switching between banners when nearing pity. This carryover applies to future limited banners, confirmed by Chinese players on Reddit. Unused pity on past limited banners will transfer to subsequent limited banners.
Important Note: No Carryover Between Limited and Standard Banners:
Pity progress does not transfer between limited and standard banners. You cannot manipulate the system by pulling on the standard banner to approach pity and then switch to a limited banner for a guaranteed rate-up character.
Soft and Hard Pity:
While the hard pity is 80 pulls, a soft pity mechanic begins at 58 pulls. After 58 pulls without an SSR unit, your chances gradually increase until you reach hard pity at 80 pulls.
This clarifies the pity system in Girls' Frontline 2: Exilium. For more game guides, including rerolling, tier lists, and mailbox locations, check out The Escapist.
