InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has unveiled fascinating details about the game's unique blend of the unusual and the paranormal. One of the most intriguing aspects is the ability for players to control ghosts, although this will be done in a limited capacity to maintain the focus on the game's core mechanics. This ghost control feature is intricately linked to a karma system that meticulously tracks the actions of characters and influences their future lives in profound ways. Remarkably, the impact of this system extends beyond the realm of the living.

The karma system and the deeds of a character will determine their fate in the afterlife. Depending on their actions, characters may either peacefully transition to the afterlife or be condemned to wander as ghosts among the living. To ultimately depart from the mortal realm, these ghostly entities must accumulate the necessary karma points.
In the early access version of InZOI, players will encounter ghosts, but the ability to control them will be introduced in a later update. The developers have stressed that InZOI is primarily focused on simulating real life, ensuring that paranormal elements remain subtle and supplementary. However, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim has hinted at the possibility of introducing other mysterious and unexplained phenomena to the game in the future, adding an extra layer of intrigue for players to explore.
